MIZZOU Blackout Uniform Concept

I did some MIZ ZOU helmet concepts a little while back and this week I started working on uniforms for my favorite helmet. This is the first version of a football version of an earlier basketball concept. I have a few more ideas but I figured I would start with the black on black look to start. Let me know what you think. I will be posting more Mizzou stuff this week and next leading up to the A&M game which if you have an extra ticket or two I would love to take off your hands. Here is part two of the black concepts

I think the current matte black helmet with reflective tiger striping would be a cool look. The MIZ ZOU on either side salutes the chant of the fans during the game. I also added the old MU logo to the neckline and the sleeves because I like it. If nothing else I hope this makes nike want to step up their game because they mailed in the Mizzou Uniform redesign.

MIZ ZOU Concept Helmet

The helmets above are two of the current Mizzou helmets. I have an issue with both helmets. I really like the large logo on the helmet but I am not a fan of either color. I did not like Mizzou changing from metallic gold to mustard yellow in the latest school wide rebrand. The newest chrome helmets are fine but why make a them chrome and not gold? Mizzou is not silver and black they are gold and black. The helmet should be gold leaf.

I personally like the idea of dropping the Tiger head for the special lid and going with an MIZ ZOU lid on the current matte black lid with Tige stripes. I also would go with metallic gold but I did some yellow ones as well.

Auburn Tigers Throwback 1913 Uniform

The picture below is what the uniform of the Auburn Tigers wore in 1913. This year is 2013 marking the 100th anniversary of this uniform. I did a few modern versions of the uniform. Since football uniforms have change just a little since 1913 a few things had to be changed. The first thing you might notice is that there were no numbers on the uniform in 1913, second thing is the long sleeve hockey like sweater look, lastly the very high waisted and bulky pants.

I am not a fan of the brown/tan look of the years gone by so I did this one with white pants

Mizzou Tigers Basketball Uniform Concepts

I grew up around Columbia so I am torn when it comes to what colors Mizzou should wear. I like the old yellow and black days on the basketball court but I also like the real gold they used to wear on the football field. I couldn’t make my mind up so I did a few of each. I think I like the yellow and black ones the best this time around.
