Ok, where should we start? Oh, yeah with the stupid stretch marks Adidas has decided they are a good look. They showed up on the UCLA uniform and now on the Nebraska. It looks stupid Adidas the pattern has nothing to do with either team. It might be part of some new tech fabric blah blah blah I don’t care hide that shit so I don’t have to look at it. It looks like a Bill Cosby sweater vest right now and the shoulders appear to have a houndstooth pattern wtf Adidas.

The two tone facemask looks to be the new trend in college football. Oregon did on the spring game uniform and it looks the leaked game helmet will be the same. So, it only figures Adidas would follow in Nike’s footsteps. I am just shocked that Adidas was on trend with Nike during the same football season.

I don’t have a problem with the two color facemasks. I do however have an issue with why the helmet stripe and the middle color of the facemask are not the same color. If the helmet stripe is going to be black the center of the helmet should be black or if Adidas wanted the center to be red the stripe should be red.

The numbers are well pointless. Why change the font? Why change to a font that is split? I hate that the numbers are not outlined. A little red or white outline on the old font on the black uniform would really help to make this look like a Nebraska Uniform.

There are no shoulder stripes. Why does Nebraska not have shoulder stripes? The uni last year had the decency to keep the shoulder stripes. I think a two tone stipe would look best to go along with the two toned numbers.

The pants from what I can see don’t seem to be anything special. I can’t see if they are just a white and black version of the normal pants.

Overall Rating on a scale from 1-10 I will give the uniform a 6.5

I don’t hate the uniform but I do hate parts of it. I think like most Adidas products the company needs to spend more time on overall design based on the school. I think their current design process doesn’t take the school or its identity into account nearly enough.

I will be mocking up a version of this uniform to my specs today.
